Peter Who?

Aussies, do you remember in the early nineties a pop singer called Peter Andre? His debut song was Mysterious Girl. You’re probably thinking, ‘oh yeah, I remember that guy.’ You may also think that he was just a one-hit wonder before he vanished into thin air. Well, that’s what I thought and boy was I wrong.

The guy is big in the UK. He features on talk shows, has books written about him and is all over the media. Peter Andre is an English household name and it wouldn’t surprise me if Gordon and Sarah Brown have discussed his love life over their morning coffee.

So, how did Peter Andre get to be so big over here? Well, I’m still trying to figure it out but here’s what I’ve got so far:

* He went on a TV show called I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here which I’m yet to watch but probably deserves it’s own blog post.

* On the show he hooked up with page 3 girl Katie Price (aka Jordan). She’s also well known for her big, fake boozies.

* The two got married and had their own program Katie and Peter, which apparently was rather raunchy with the two re-enacting sex whilst being fully clothed. Hmmm … how appealing does that sound?

*They then got divorced resulting in a stack of books being published and everyone in England being forced to know all the gory details. No matter how hard you tried to avoid it – it was everywhere!

And that’s where we are up to now in the life and times of Peter Andre. Who woulda thunk it?
