When did you move to UK and why?

To see the world! Mostly to use it as a base to explore Europe and beyond. I have the golden ticket passport.

What was your first weird experience?

Realising what ‘thong’ means over here (and that no one wants to see a ‘thong tan’) and also talking about ‘pants’ whilst people looked at me strangely. TROUSERS we do believe you mean!?

What do you miss the most about home?

Sakatas. And flavoured rice cakes. And the sun. THE SUN oh the sun, how I miss you! And the beach!!!!

You’re big on shopping/fashion? How does it compare?

People are much more individual over here when it comes to fashion, which is great. Not such a big trend that everyone follows, as there is much more to choose from. The winter fashion especially is really great. Not just black and grey like back in Oz – there are heaps of colour in tights, hats, gloves, boots, coats…

Tell me about your Ben and Jerry’s experiences

Lately?! One tub a week at LEAST!! I think the answers to life’s problems are at the bottom. The low fat frozen yoghurt Choc Fudge is the best. I have it on good authority that Phish Food is good also!!

Who are your fave English bands/ writers/ actors/ shows etc?

I loved the Apprentice UK with Alan Sugar, the InBetweeners is funny, Jude Law is hot!

Which B grade (or otherwise) British celebrity do you love to hate?

Jade Goody. But she isn’t around anymore! But that was a big hate!

What do you read on the tube?

My book or the free newspaper. And do the Sudoku – can’t get enough of them!

Finish these sentences

The best thing about the UK is … Marks and Spencers, prepackaged food, public transport.

The best thing to come out of England is … the Beatles (and we work near Abbey Road!)

Boris Johnson is … kinda dumb lookin’.

Thanks Sarah. It was the first one so glad you liked it. Did you live in England or Ireland? Ever miss it?
